Art Bike. Cruisin. Rad Bike. Be Careful. PMA in Winston-Salem

Summertime in Winston is usually a blast. This year, we're raising the standards. Quarry rides. Nightly casserollin'. So many bikes. So many awesome folks. Thanks Winston-Salem.

That was fun ya'll.

Mike put this art bike from his show at Intersection out on the street. Good luck trying to ride it.

Caleb's cruiser. Don't let it fool you, he was keeping up with me on a road bike.

Everybody be careful out there!! Friends keep crashing, that's no fun. Ride safe! Ride smart!

Weather Report. This week's Rad Bike. Super Mega Ibrahim Explosion.

Summer skies in Winston, often captivating.

Rad Bike of the week was a very spontaneous encounter. Stumbling out the door I walk past this tough Fuji Royale. Tall.

The event for Ibrahim is coming up on July 10th. Be aware of the Helmet Drive and other donation possibilities. Tell your friends and family, i know there's tons of helmets in garages and closets long forgotten that would love a new head. And no worries, I was assured Mock Orange would be inspecting all donations for safety.

Weather Report. Maker Fair. Cruisin on Saturday. Heads up for July 10th Critical Mass.

Exciting day for paying attention to bikes!
This morning we went the Maker Fair in Raleigh. Busy. Packed with inventive folks. Two notable sights:

Pedal Power Bench Grinder. Anyone want to figure out how to make this with bike parts?

Electric Assist

Big ol' sprocket.

Afternoon storms brought us some cool evening weather...perfect for the cruise.

Green St. and 2nd. One of the best places to catch sunset.

This bike is sick, period. Nice work Luke!

HEADS UP Sunday July 10th! Critical Mass Ride preceding the Millenium Center jam for Ibrahim. We'll probably start somewhere around Thruway (Miller Park?). Tentative time of departure is 2 pm. Super crucial that we get as many people out riding (with your helmets on!!!!) as we can. Spread the word! Get someone on a bike. The more the merrier!

Open Season and first Rad Bike of the Week

Hi Friends,

We're in the throes of the riding season. It might be hot out, but i still see you all, crushing hills, hopping curbs, and casserollin' to the bar. With so many folks cruising Camel City wouldn't it be nice to stay up on all the goings on? Bikes are a wonderful and empowering machine. Let's share our experiences on them. One less car!

Stacks on Stacks on Stacks

We're starting this up to keep all of you casserollers in the loop about upcoming rides, events, routes, etc. Anyone who would like to author posts let me know!

Some ideas:
-Generating google maps of good routes through camel city.
-Sharing information about bike events both local and away.
-Reader submitted photos.
-Rad bike of the week.

So, to kick it off, inaugural Bike of the Week:

Jimmy's Pista. Good work on not owning a car Jimmy. Crisp. Clean. Chromed. Always loved how shiny these bikes are.

Honorable Mention:

Alvaro's bmx. Who needs a lock?
